ECO has been working with Trees Ontario and the Ontario Forestry Association since 2005, promoting forested landscapes on private lands by offering incentive programs such as TOF & OMNR 50 Million Tree program and the Managed Forest Tax Incentive Program (MFTIP).

In 2008, ECO convened a series of TOF media events with Southern Ontario MPPs to increase the profile of the 50 Million Tree planting program, garnering significant media coverage. ECO handled logistics including scheduling and invites, audio support, development and distribution of media advisories and releases, media monitoring and reporting and on-site media relations. In the same year, ECO distributed nearly fifty media releases and advisories for TOF generating an estimated 9 million media impressions.

We continue to work with TOF on these sessions. From 2005 through 2009, more than 50 workshops have been held and attracted over 2,500 people. New enrollment in MFTIP has been doubling each year since the start of the program, and membership in the Ontario Forestry Association has increased by over 20% since 2005.
